Andrés Muñoz’s beloved cat, Slider, has become something of a legend among Mariners fans. Named after Muñoz’s devastating breaking ball, Slider has a mischievous streak and a calm presence that mirrors his owner on the mound.

Slider is a sleek gray tabby who spends most of his time lounging on Muñoz’s glove collection or chasing baseballs around the living room. When the Mariners win, Slider gets an extra treat — a tradition Muñoz swears brings good luck to the bullpen.
